We're used to having only one star in our Solar System: the Sun. It's a hot ball of glowing gases and holds our Solar System together. We on Earth can observe the motion of the Sun at beautiful sunrise or sunset. Just imagine two sunsets at a time - on a planet that has two suns! It's a real thing. Kepler 16b is a cold place made of half rock, half gas. But it has two suns, so you'd also have two shadows there.
There's been discovered an even cooler planet: it orbits 3 suns! It's a gas giant similar to Jupiter and about 1,300 light-years from Earth. Let's travel right to that planet and explore the gravitational balance that holds the system together!
