The Association Mission is to.

1) Promote the culture of rail, tram and air transport.

The AFS, therefore, can acquire, for whatever reason, even free, means, materials and documentation related to this purpose.

3) To provide for the retrieval and preservation of material, documentation and images of popular, historical, artistic and scientific interest, with particular reference to the local situation of iron-tram transports.

4) Promote studies and publications on the history of iron-tram communications.

5) Promote, disseminate and coordinate modeling, static and dynamic activities.

6) Promote the dissemination of modeling culture, including through the organization of exhibitions, exhibitions, conferences and events.

7) Encourage the participation of its members in modeling meetings and events.

8) Establish relationships of collaboration with national and international organizations and organizations, having the same - or analogous - goals.

9) Establish collaborative relationships, initiatives and cultural events with public transport companies, local, national and foreign.

10) Promote and organize all the initiatives and manifestations useful for the attainment of the aforementioned purposes and to carry out all the actions compatible with the associative ends.

11) Representing the interests of enthusiasts and scholars of transport systems at any location and instance.
