YouTube/Twitch/"Content Creation" finally got to me.

For the better part of a decade I've been working at this channel, starting off as a place for Dragon Quest LPs and news. Somewhere along the line I stopped doing what I wanted to do and started doing what "content creators" were supposed to do. It stopped being a hobby for a while and even became a full time job.

I don't think I'm the kind of person who should turn their hobby into a full time job.

More recently I let way too much get to me. Too many copyright claims. Too many people telling me what to do to be successful. Too many hours wasted due to decision fatigue.

This is a reset. I'm leaving the YouTube content up because a lot of folks still find value in it, especially the DQX videos. I got rid of my Patreon, the longer I went between meaningful content the more guilt I felt over having it. YouTube and Twitch as platforms are too morally bankrupt for me to want to continue making content for.

I'm refocusing on Dragon Quest. There will be no video schedule. I'll post when I post, but those videos will have something that attracted so many of you to my channel over the years. Honesty. I'm not a "content creator" or an "influencer".

I'm a hobbyist who loves Dragon Quest and wants to share his love of this magical series with others. I'm sorry I let it get away from me. Thanks for watching, I hope to see you there!
