I am Coco, a professional violinist, actor and violin and piano teacher. I am teaching my son, Lucian to play the piano using JOHN THOMPSON'S Easiest Piano Course. Lucian is 9, he has Aspergers and has been playing the cello already for 5 years, but he had been asking to play the piano for quite a long time, so during lockdown, (while failing miserably at homeschooling!) we did this! We hope you enjoy seeing his progress... If you are a parent or child interested in learning the piano and especially if you're looking for a good piano book to use, we hope this might be useful for you! A review video of the whole course will follow. Also, look out for PART 2 of Book One coming soon.

A lot of people have asked me, if they want their child to learn piano but don't have space or budget at the time for a piano, which keyboard is best. I always say that if at all possible a proper upright piano is best (and you can get smaller ones like my Yamaha B2!) but that if it really isn't possible an 88 key model with pedals (or a pedal attachment) with as close to a real piano-weighted key as possible is best! My parents have this one and I really like it: [ Ссылка ] but if your child goes beyond the basics you might well need a sustain pedal add on (here): [ Ссылка ]
