A video of J-10 fighter firing rockets at target was published by the Chinese Air Force. In the video, the J-10 pilots practiced this cheap but effective ground attack weapon at targets located on an island.
The pilots followed guidance from ground control and aimed at targets using their head up displays. The targets are actually old cars placed on the island.
The video shows multiple rockets achieved direct hit on the target. Most Chinese aerial rockets carry high explosive warheads, they can cause server damage to vehicles with light armor.
Pilots explained to reporter that they regularly practice with live firing tasks, a sign that the Chinese Air Force is keen to build up its combat readiness in a possible sea and air war.
