There are 4 primary tissues that need to be addressed to fix chronic shoulder pain that hasn’t gone away in over 6 months:
👉 infraspinatus (seen here)
👉 teres minor
👉 subscapularis
👉posterior inferior shoulder capsule
The infraspinatus muscle is on the back of the wing bone and attached to the humerus head.
It pulls the bone into the socket to help stabilize it.
When it’s glued up with adhesion, it can cause the ball to be off-center in the socket and/or cause other shoulder muscles to be overloaded.
Gregg’s bicep-to-ear test was 3 fingers away (75% function), so Dr. Chris checked this muscle first for adhesion.
He found a golf ball sized spot with severe adhesion near the medial border.
So Gregg stretches it while Dr. Chris treats it with the shockwave to:
⚡️remove the adhesion
⚡️release stem cells
⚡️promote new blood vessel growth
⚡️kill senescent or aging cells
Gregg’s range got to 2 fingers away (80% function) and had his pain reduced from 4/10 to 2/10 after treating this muscle and subscapularis.
He has some degeneration that will limit how much permanent relief is possible.
