There was another mass demonstration on the streets of Belgrade on Friday (13/12) - the day Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic offered to let international observers check the fairness of elections. Tens of thousands of students marched on Friday - the 26th day of protests -
and were later joined by Zajedno supporters. Zajedno has claimed it was cheated of victory during the November 17 local elections by Milosevic's ruling Socialists.
Support for the protest action is still strong throughout the country. Some 200 students from the town of Novi Sad, 80 kilometres (50 miles) north of Belgrade, began a march to the Serbian capital on Friday (13/12), to link up with fellow student protestors.
