Today our 2016 Kia Soul, we'll be doing a test for the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, Part Number TC1547. That's tire size 21555R17. These Titan chains are SAE Class S chains. They're designed for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. They feature a diamond pattern, which provides more tire coverage, so it's going to give us a lot more traction than your average chain. They're great for the occasional use.
The small links are going to provide a smooth ride. You're also going to get excellent grip and traction on snow and ice. They have a maximum speed rating of 30 mph. They come in a quantity of two. The built-in tensioner makes installation very easy.
Let's go ahead and show you that now. We're going to be putting the chains on the front tires of our Kia Soul here today, because it is front-wheel drive. I've gone ahead and laid out my chain, just to make sure there's no twists or any kinks in it. You'll also want to be sure that each one of the hooks here are face down. When we install it, our tire is actually going to be on this side, so the open side will be facing up, away from the tire. That's what we want. Now let's go ahead and slide it behind our tire.
It's important to know where the middle of the chain is, that's going to be this portion here, so let's get it centered up around our tire. Once we get it around our tire on the ground, we're going to grab our two cables, right here, we're going to go up behind our tire and connect it together, just like that. Then we'll just guide our chain over our tire. With our chain in position on top of our tire now, let's go ahead and take the green hook and connect it to the yellow link. Then we can finish just bringing our chain around our tire. We'll take the green chain here, feed it through the red channel here, make sure it's nice and tight.
We'll kind of kink it over like so. We'll feed it through the red loops. We don't have to go through both red loops, so we'll just go through one, and then we'll connect it as far as we can across. Now we can just simply repeat the same process for the other tire. It's a good idea to drive a short distance, get out and make any adjustments you may need. That's going to complete our test fit on the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with a diamond pattern and a square link, Part Number TC1547 on our 2016 Kia Soul.
