Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation stone of two hospitals and launch 'Asom Mala', a programme for state highways and major district roads, in Sonitpur district in Assam. Later, he is slated to make major announcements during his visit to West Bengal on Sunday. In West Bengal, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of key infrastructure projects in Haldia. He will inaugurate the LPG import terminal built by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. Built at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore, the terminal has a capacity of 1 million metric tonne per annum and will supply LPG to households in Bengal and other eastern and north-eastern states.
