We have a monoculture of single-use plastic in a 1 trillion dollar consumer goods packaging industry. Isn’t it time for some diversity in packaging. Is there an alternative to single-use and to
plastic? I am a chemist and the Co-Founder of Beauty Kitchen, a company on a mission to create the most sustainable beauty products in the world. We are one of the pioneers of sustainable beauty. I want to drive the beauty industry forward with better practise approaches. As Beauty Kitchen’s toughest critic, I inspect everything from the efficacy of the products, to the way the ingredients are sourced, right down to the packaging sustainability for each product. Sustainability in packaging is a subject that has been close to my heart and has inspired Beauty Kitchen’s Return•Refill•Repeat programme.
I have won various industry awards, including the ‘Who’s Who in Natural Beauty’ and business awards such as ‘Scale Up Entrepreneur of the Year’. As an advocate for the circular economy, I am passionate about speaking at global sustainability events, to share my ideas and knowledge on how all of us can develop new ways to build a more sustainable future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
