On April 16, 2023, the Well REaD Book Club of the Concord Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. held a book club discussion on the book "Take My Hand" by Dolen Perkins-Valdez. In conjunction with the book club discussion, we hosted a Delta Authors Spotlight and Book Fair with four dynamic local Delta Authors, Dr. Marie Brown Mercadel, Jenee Jemison, Sheila Prioleau, and Dr. Monique May. Combining the events was the perfect blend. Book club participants visited with these four exceptional authors, heard about their literary work, held a Q&A, and books signed upon purchase.
