The Reserve Bank’s announcement to change the $5 note to not display a member of the Royal Family is a “terrible idea,” according to Sky News Contributor Daisy Cousens.
“I don’t even see why we need to change the $5 note to have King Charles on it," she told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“The $5 note doesn’t necessarily have to have someone who is still alive, why can’t we keep the wonderful Queen Elizabeth the Second … for my money that would be the perfect way to commemorate her.
“What on earth is wrong with that, and for all of Labor’s talk about wanting to commemorate Aboriginal culture on the $5 note, there is already an Indigenous man, David Unaipon, on the $50 note.”
