To celebrate the publication of my new book (written together with my childhood coach Steve Giddins) I am examining a series of classic games - just as we did in the book - using the creative engine analysis techniques I described in "The Silicon Road to Chess Improvement" At the same time, I get to indulge my current obsessions for a couple of classic players ;) and this time the lucky "victim" is the great Swedish player Gideon Stahlberg. I've been inspired by the wonderful book "Gideon Stahlberg An Epoch in Swedish Chess – Volume 1 The Musketeer Years 1908-1939" by Peter Holmgren (Verendel Publishing) which has led me along all sorts of wonderful paths related to the Swedish chess scene of that era. This is a simply amazing game in which Keres' king marches up to e5 in the opening with White's queen, rrooks and 2 bishops as adversaries... and survives!
