I have a very annoying squeaking noise on my wife's 120d.The squeaking only starts once the engine is warmed up which made me think it may be the water pump. On investigation I found that with the drive belt removed a slight squeak can be heard when turning the pump by hand, this is made a lot worse with the tension of the belt and the rotational speed of the pulley. The pump is not leaking and no play was found in the pump bearing.I will be ordering a pump which I will fit at some point in the near future.
