After about 30 years away from plastic model airplanes, I built Tamiya's 1/32 scale P-51 to match the aircraft I fly in FSX.

Tamiya's kit is superb, well engineered and fits together like a Swiss watch. I am not happy with the movable control surfaces since they add nothing to the model and tend to flop around. This kit is more like a series of models (the engine, the cockpit, the wing) that add up to a lot of detail.

My version of this model may not win any prizes, but it was an enjoyable build with a lot of satisfaction with the end result. This is done without any after market parts, so everything is from Tamiya.
