Today’s locomotives were British Railways Standard Class 9F 92214 and Metro-Cammell Diesel Railcar.
No. 92214 British Railways Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 Built at Swindon in October, 1959. Withdrawn August 1965. Arrived at GCR on 10th January, 2014.
Class 101/117 Built by Metropolitan Cammell in Birmingham in the 1950s. These units arrived at the GCR in 2003. Now in regular operation as a three-car unit. Our three car blue unit consists of two class 101 driving motor cars sandwiching a 117 centre car and is presented in British Railways blue. All the multiple units can work together as required on busy days. Vehicle numbers 50203, 59506, 50266.
