A compilation of the various ways Moka can lose one of their nine lives or be captured in Stars in the Trash along with its ending. When Moka breaks out of their home and goes on an adventure through town and the countryside they'll have to avoid cars, hunters, and a very persistent animal catcher. Oh, and also break their dog friend out of the slammer from endangering them.
Surprisingly Moka can meet some pretty awful ends in this game. Trying to enter the electrified water doesn't kill you (or even hurt you) but awards an achievement. Other segments where you can die either use the generic collapse animation or one of the brief cutscenes (such as the falling one if you jump in front of the bells). While you can be hurt by running into the barrels when chasing the animal catcher's vehicle you reach a transition to a new stretch of road if you don't reach the vehicle in time which resets your health so I don't think you can die on the road.
There's also a curious bug(?) where when the vehicle accelerates after shooting some nets in the finale you won't actually be hurt or killed by standing your ground. This looks pretty wonky.
All in all, this is a relatively short narrative platformer. It looks pretty and you get to do a variety of cat things but it feels like it's missing something. So I'm a bit more tentative on recommending it but I did enjoy it.
