BRICS has been making headlines recently - a BRICS gold-backed currency may soon challenge the dollar. Does this mean another bullish run for gold and gold prices?
Gold recently shot up in price because of the banking crisis and gold prices are now slowing down a bit. Does this mean gold no longer offers a good return? Hell no! Gold has been here for literally thousands of years and it's not going away any time soon. Gold prices may fluctuate, but they are on a long-term upward trend.
I am personally invested in gold and have ~5% of my assets in gold funds. This year, I'm planning to increase that to 6%. Ray Dalio who is another big proponent of gold also keeps at least a few percent of his famous all-weather portfolio in gold. Overall, right now, gold is offering a mixed risk-reward ratio. There are plenty of gold price forecasts and gold price predictions, but it is always hard to predict things like that. Still, we are likely to see higher gold prices, but only time will tell whether that will be 5%, 15% or 25%.
