► With only six days until the country finds out who will be the new prime minister, both Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt have said they would be willing to leave without a deal.

But today MPs voted to make it harder for either of them to suspend parliament to push that scenario through.

There were some key government players who did not take part though - including the man currently in charge of the government's purse strings.
