Cake Goop - Homemade Pan Release


Combine equal parts of the following ingredients:
All Purpose Flour
Vegetable Oil
Vegetable Shortening - I use Crisco (or softened butter)


In a small saucepan combine all ingredients and heat over medium low until incorporated and mixture has a smooth consistency. Allow to cool for about 1-2 minutes and transfer into an airtight container. Once the mixture has cooled completely, store in the pantry for up to 3 months or in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.


To use: apply a small amount using a pastry brush on all parts of the pan while being sure to get the mixture into all of the corners.
