When it's freezing cold and snowing outside, how do you go out and take photos while also protecting your camera equipment from the harsh elements? Most of us have noticed how much faster our camera batteries die in the cold, as well as how hard it is to keep our cameras dry in a blizzard. In this video, I talk about three budget items that will keep your batteries lasting longer, prevent condensation from forming on the camera and lens and keep your camera dry when the snow is coming down hard. I filmed this video during a blizzard while the snow was coming down hard in the outskirt of Washington, D.C. last weekend. I love snowstorms - and nothing stops me from going outside!
