SRNE's ML4860 solar charge controllers are randomly missing maximum efficiency or failing to do its MPPT job of tracking the maximum power for maximum charging current.
It might be a setting I failed to properly set or does anyone have the same experience?
I contacted SRNE(to he fair they're very responsive). But they have no specific answer as to why it happens.
Conditions:
1. Connected with battery charging cables first before PV cable.
2. Connected battery sensing/sampling wires
3. Tested both in individual and parallel mode
If other also experienced this, I don't recommend this ML4860. My ML2440 did not have this problem though.
