The PZEM-004T energy monitor measures AC voltage, current, active power, frequency, power factor, and active energy and transmits them through its TTL UART interface to the ESP8266 ESP01 and to the RemoteXY smartphone app. The smartphone interface is developed with the RemoteXY web interface and the generated code was copied into the RemoteXY block in FLProg. The PZEM-004T block in FLProg makes it easy to retrieve the measured parameters from the PZEM-004T to the ESP8266 ESP01. The ESP8266 ESP01 program is written with FLProg and uploaded to the ESP8266 ESP01 using the Arduino IDE with the ESP8266 ESP01 programmer. The smartphone connects to the ESP8266 ESP01 hotspot with which the RemoteXY app receives the measured parameters from the PZEM-004T energy monitor.
