What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this LumenX tail light, so it's gonna be a good replacement or an upgrade for your trailer. Today, we're gonna be installing it on our Big Tex flatbed trailer behind me. Now, this is already gonna be an upgrade from the existing light because of the extra diodes. This one's gonna have 10, when the light that was on the trailer only had six. So this is gonna help brighten that up quite a bit.
We're gonna have the old one. You see it has some wear and tear on it with the six diodes. This is the new one that's gonna have 10. Now, it also has a polycarbonate lens on there. It's gonna be a red lens with white LEDs on the inside, so the cover's gonna hold up to some damage.
It's not gonna break very easily. Also, DOT compliant, and can be fully submerged in water and won't cause any issues. Now, we're gonna hook it up to the trailer. So we have the three prong hookup, which is the industry standard. Let's push that into place.
With that connected and pushed in place, now we just push the light here in the grommet. It's not that hard to do. We just push in on the light, and it fits right in there. Here's gonna be the brake lights. Left turn.
And tail lights. With the lights on, you can definitely see a difference. You have the 10 diodes in the newer light being way brighter than the old six ones here. So you definitely get more brightness with these lights. Now, you also get all the functions you did with the regular tail lights. So it'll still be a tail light, brake light, and even a turn signal. So the tail light's gonna measure up to six and 1/2 inches by two and 1/4 inches wide. So just keep that in mind. Go out to your trailer and measure it, so that way you can get the right light for the right trailer. Overall, it's a definite upgrade on your trailer. You can see the difference right by side by side even if it's still LED and LED. The extra diodes are gonna brighten it up. Now, if you're going from incandescent to LED, it's a major upgrade because you're not gonna have to worry about that light for a long time. The incandescent is gonna burn out way sooner, and you don't have to deal with bulbs. This one is gonna last longer and be brighter overall. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helped.
