The lecture "Advanced Surface Technologies and Contemporary Dental Implant Therapy," by Dr. Lyndon Cooper, was part of the 35th annual USC Periodontal and Implant Symposium (theme: "The Age of Speed") held in Los Angeles in 2010. Dr. Cooper is the Stallings Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he directs the Advanced Education Program in Graduate Prosthodontics and the Bone Biology and Implant Therapy Laboratory. A diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Dr. Cooper is the president of the American College of Prosthodontists.
