On October 29, the Lebanese American University New York Academic Center hosted a virtual panel discussion, “Arab Americans at the Polls: Diverse Views, Considerations and the 2020 Vote,” to help raise awareness of how this year’s presidential election will affect domestic and international issues of concern to Arabs and all Americans. The discussion – moderated by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Sara Ganim – touched on shifting Arab American views, what it means to be Arab American, swing states like Michigan, Arab voter turnout, and candidates’ positions on foreign policy and domestic issues of concerns from immigration to healthcare, the economy, and racial inequality.
