The quaint tramcar is one of Kolkata's icons. In its heyday, the tram plied on 52 routes. Today, however, the tram plies desultorily on just three routes. Melbourne in Australia, on the other hand, has the largest operational urban tram network in the world. As of May 2017, the Melbourne #tramway network has 250km of double track, 493 trams, 24 routes, and 1,763 tram stops. Roberto di Andrea and Tony Graham were tram conductors in Melbourne. On the 150th anniversary of Kolkata's trams, the two Aussies have landed in the 'City of Joy' to be part of the historic occasion.
