City leaders, community partners, Elders, artists, youth, and neighborhood residents joined together to celebrate the dedication of a beautiful new mural at Uŋčí Makhá Park.
Titled “As Above, So Below; Seeing Ourselves in the Creation Story", the vibrant mural depicts the Dakota Creation Story through the lens of community artists Missy Whiteman and Elissa Cedarleaf Dahl and six Right Track Saint Paul summer interns from Saint Paul high schools.
The mural is located alongside a new pathway and creek channel leading to Hidden Falls. The newly daylighted creek fosters wildlife and ecological beauty within the park, as well as plays an essential role in managing stormwater.
We invite all to explore this inspiring work of art at Uŋčí Makhá Park in the new Highland Bridge neighborhood.
