Controversial statement, but we don’t think that a wedding is really about the couple getting married.

Think about it - You are made up from all the people in your life - your childhood bestie who you have the silly inside jokes with. The stories you have from growing up with your siblings and the unconditional love you received from your parents.

These are all things that make you who you are today.

One of the main things we love about weddings, is that it’s your chance to have all of those people in one place together to celebrate.

You get to include them in your day to show them what THEY mean to YOU.

Yes it’s about love and the two people who are making a commitment to one another for life.

But without the friends who helped you plan, and your college buddy who set you two up on that first date…

or the uncle who helped you both move into your first apartment together who shared his unsolicited but heartfelt relationship advice that you didn’t ask for but have carried with you ever since.

Where would you be?

Would you even be getting wed?

Sometimes it’s not about the flowers or the cake or the colours of the table clothes.

It’s about the people.

So to the people in your lives who have made an impact, those who can be present and those who have sadly passed but who make you who you are, take the time to celebrate them on your wedding day too.

As from our perspective, that’s just what Tess & Sean’s celebrations were all about.

Their people were at the forefront and that’s what made this wedding so very special.
