Tripoli International Airport continues to be the site of rival militia fighting. Sunday's struggle killed at least four people and caused thousands of nearby residents to flee their homes.
It marks the most serious violence in the Libyan capital city since the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011... pitting the Zintan fighters - defending its control of the air hub - and its allies... against groups tied to the western coastal town of Misrata... armed with Grad missiles, rockets and anti-aircraft weaponry.
A doctor from a local hospital said it received nine wounded from the area.
Just days earlier, one powerful militia had said it was ready to put an end to the heavy clashes riddling the oil-producing North African state.
