University of Milan Bicocca - A multidisciplinary approach for tackling Climate Changes.

Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences (DISAT) at University of Milan Bicocca's inter and multi-disciplinary approach is based on a threefold concept: 1) a better understanding of the mechanisms influencing climate changes in the past record 2) understanding the present assets, 3) forecasting future scenarios evaluating possible impacts of climate changes on the environment to suggest effective mitigation and adaptation actions. Areas covered include geodynamics, geological risks, marine sciences, glaciology, chemistry of the atmosphere, and bio-ecology. Research is performed in cutting-edge laboratories.
