The gradual, but sustained weakening of the Kenya shilling to the dollar is causing fresh jitters that Kenyan consumers are unlikely to get a reprieve any time soon as prices of basic goods and services keep on rising. And coming just when the weatherman warned that another dry weather spell was in the offing, this means that consumers will be forced to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for everything from power to imported clothing.
