Malaysia's 15th general election will see for the first time, 18- to 20-year-olds casting their ballots, after the minimum voting age was lowered from 21. Millennials have been touted as possible kingmakers. This age group -- ranging 26 to 40 years old -- now accounts for at least 50% of Malaysia's working population and forms the largest voting bloc in the nation of 32 million. Mr James Chai, visiting fellow at the Malaysian Studies Programme at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, discussed about the concerns of young voters and how political parties are reaching out to them.
