In Final Cut Pro 10.6 you can now automatically track faces! (and objects too, but in this tutorial we're just going to track faces)


This can be used to do more complicated skin retouching on your videos. In this tutorial we use Digital Anarchy's Beauty Box to add a layer of digital makeup. Beauty Box has it's own mask based on skin tones, but this can be combined with FCP's face tracking to isolate one person in a video with multiple people or any situation where other areas of the video are being effected by Beauty Box that you don't want effected.
