PART 2: Pulaski, IL Flooded Road
Heavy rains last weekend lead to some minor flooding problems that have stretched out over the week as cold weather has frozen some of the draining creeks leading to the water ponding into low-lying areas. This area near the town of Pulaski, IL in extreme southern Illinois continues to have road closures as water remains over several roads. This was the scene of a fatality over the weekend due to the high waters. Currently, areas of ice are preventing the water from escaping, and thus several roads remain under water.
Part 2 of this video package contains footage detailing the flooding going on in extreme southern IL as well as shows some of the iced up areas where water would normally drain from. A minivan crosses the flood waters on Sandusky Road in several early clips.
