Pachmarhi, also known as Satpura ki Rani, is a hill station in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. The nearest railway stations are Pipariya and Bhopal. It is rich in flora and fauna and is known for many waterfalls. The Bee Fall tumbles over a jagged rock face to the northwest. Leopards and Indian bison live in Satpura National Park. The ancient Pandav Caves are a group of 5 dwellings cut out of sandstone on a hill.

One of the other reasons for Pachmarhi name origin is 5 famous Mahadev temples in vicinity which are linked with the mythology of Bhasmasur and his banter with Shankar Bhagwan. The 5 famous Mahadev mandir are Jatashankar, Nag dwar, Gupt Mahadev, Choragadh, Bada Mahadev.
Along with these temples, there are other notable places like Echo point, Green valley, Rajendragiri Park, Pachmarhi lake to name a few.
