Today we are flying one of the most challending instrument approaches in the US, the VOR-DME Z 15 into Martin State, Virginia, KMTN. I'm flying the default Baron 58 with no GPS, no moving map, and no autopilot. The approach follows the 14.7DME arc of the Baltimore VOR, including several step-down fixes along the arc where we descend towards the runway. Ideally, the arc takes us exactly onto the runway in a curved final approach segment. For the missed approach, we step in towards the VOR and join the 11DME arc to a radial crossing fix that defines the missed approach holding point, where we execute a teardrop entry.
