Tirta Gangga Water Palace - Top Bali Attraction - Eastern Bali
Tirta Gangga Water Palace is one of the top Bali attractions. It's located in the Eastern Bali in Karangasem. The area is not as popular as hotspots Canggu or Ubud but that does not mean you should overlook this side of the island.
Tirta Gangga Water Palace is the former home to the King of Karangasem built in 1946 and was nearly destroyed in 1963 from the eruption of Mt. Agung. Present day Tirta Gangga was completely restored in 1999 with fish ponds complete with Koi fish and stepping stones in the water.
Also on site you can take a swim in the fresh water pool, walk through the lush gardens or simply meditate.
Tirta Gangga Water Palace is about 15 minutes from Lempuyang Temple so its worth stopping at both attractions during your stay in Eastern Bali.
Entry to Tirta Gangga Water Palace is 30,000 IDR per adult, which is $2.12 (USD). Cameron was free.
