Welcome to Indonesia's largest and oldest Chinatown in the heart of Jakarta! Otherwise known as Glodok, here you can find not just Chinese food but food from across Indonesia. This is my updated 2024 list of recommendations for Chinatown!
Every visit to Jakarta should include a stop in Chinatown. There is so much culture and history packed into a complex network of alleys always lined with street food vendors. These vendors are some of the hardest working and honest people you'll ever meet. Working long hours to produce sometimes only one dish to absolute perfection.
