Launching on the PS1 in 1998, Resident Evil has been a staple of the horror video game genre for over 2 decades. From the fixed camera angles of Resident Evil 2, to the 3rd person action perspective of Resident Evil 4, and even 2019's outstanding Resident Evil 2 Remake, these games have left a lasting impression. But as well made as they may be, they'd be nothing without the memorable characters that inhabit its gruesome world. Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy - they're all invaluable parts of the most influential horror video game series of all time.
