This 1972 Shovelhead Custom is a super fast lightweight chopper that began its life when Dan Carr woke one morning at his friend Panhead Mark’s place and walked outside to see a frame leaning up against his pool. He negotiated its purchase and brought it back to the shop. A basket case engine he had lying around the shop got a full overhaul with Prom Chop flywheels, Shumaker cylinders, and a 3- ½” stroke in the modified cases. He added S&S heads and a carb to round off a powerhouse Shovelhead for this chopper. The rear fender was a gift from Bill Dodge but the aluminum tank, oil tank, exhaust, and pretty much everything else was built in house. This bike is raw with a deep red frame contrasting all chrome and polished tins that definitely forces you to take notice.
