I had been dying to do a solo canoe trip in Temagami for a while now. As the backcountry camping ban was now lifted and I had a week before heading back to work, I decided to make a run for it. I had wanted to do the Twinkle Lake loop for a year now and had hoped to do it as soon as the ice was out, but this would be even better, as I had more time. I planned to head up to the access on Monday, so I could start the loop first thing Tuesday morning, and have 5 days to do it, with an extra buffer day in case of bad weather, issues etc. It was the perfect plan, or so I thought. Unfortunately, I discovered an issue early on and ended up having to scramble to figure out how to proceed next. I hope you enjoy this fun 4 part adventure where I have to think on my feet and revise my plans several times, due to unforeseen circumstances.
