During filming for DC’s Justice League, photographer Jason Laboy alleged that Joss had locked Gal in a room threatening her career because she refused to do a scene that ultimately degraded women.

Gal confirmed in an interview that these allegations were true, and that Joss went ahead with the scene behind her back, using a stunt double.

Gal also hinted that she did speak to Warner Brothers about the issue and they handled it accordingly, while other cast members such as Ray Fischer publicly spoke out against Joss’ toxic behaviour.

Fans of the film showed their support for Gal via Twitter, with one fan writing, “Gal really officially outed Joss Whedon today. We love an unforgiving queen.”, while others called for Warner Brothers to be held accountable as well.
