Are you tired of your cats fighting? You love them both, you know they're lovely kitties, why can't they see it in eachother!? Here's how you can help.
1. Encourage them to spend time apart. Don't force them to be together. Feed them apart and set up your home so they can develop two separate territorites. This will mean your cats have a lot more choice on when to interact and it will help increase tolerance and reduce cat/cat aggression.
2. Build trust and resilience. If every time they see eachother, fur is flying and they are hissing and growling, how will they ever learn to be become friends? The trust is gone. Supervise your cats when they are together and help the meetings go smoothly with treats, toys, attention, a groom, whatever it is that your cat loves. Help make the fights become 1 in 100 meetings, not every time.
3. Reduce stress. If our kitties aren't happy in themselves, how can we expect them to build happy relationships? Find and remove anything your cats are anxious about. Plus this will help remove triggers that may be sparking the aggression.
