So the Great Lakes of the USA are MASSIVE, to say the least. In fact, to call them a lake at all is a disservice to their sheer size and strength as a body of water. There are "Seas" on this planet that are smaller than the Great Lakes. So truly, for all intent and purposes, I will be considering Lake Michigan to be its own ocean for the rest of my life.
What does this have to do with anything? Well, in today's video we did something we've always wanted to do, but may not have realized what we were getting ourselves into. We FINALLY got our paddleboards onto the Great Lake Michigan in all its glory. Put simply, it was amazing! But the longer story is it was also very tough, and an experience completely different than anything we had ever been a part of to date, in our paddleboarding careers.
