In Episode 81, DaVo, a Professional Piercer since 1994, covers the Pros and Cons of Threaded Jewelry. The point of this video is to help those deciding what is the right jewelry for them.

I aka DaVo have been a professional body piercer and the owner of the Axiom Body Piercing Studio in Des Moines, Iowa since 1994. My focus on education and helping clients make safe and informed decisions on getting pierced has always been a large part of my business practices and services. Pros:
Easy to insert
Lower profile
Large variety of ends
different styles - Standard, Curved, Circular and labret.
Easy to put in

Cons
The ends can be difficult to remove
The lead can break off in the post
The Hollow tube post can trap contaminates
If not bent correctly the ends can fall off
More expensive than rings or threaded jewelry

Living with the jewelry
Can be worn for a long period of time
Should be cleaned from time to time
May need to invest in Hemostats to make removal
