In Super Mario Odyssey, there is a speedrun category known as minimum captures; a speedrun where you capture the minimum number of things. In this run, the player is able to skip the Mechawiggler fight which means they don't have to capture the Sherm required to defeat it. In this video, I'll be showing you the cool glitch involved in doing it!

Using TAS tools, it was found that the first CRC is actually 5 frame window, as opposed to a 1 frame window (I can't remember if I actually said it was frame perfect but I certainly implied it lol)

Important note regarding future Minimum Captures videos (15th Jan 2021):

In this video I mentioned that I would be doing more videos covering more of the tricks used in the Minimum Captures speedrun. Over the past 6 months or so, I have been on and off working on a Cascade Kingdom Minimum Captures tutorial (the use of the Broodon't CRC, as well as how to get the other moons). While making that video, I realized that it's something that I don't believe I'm experienced enough to teach, which made me demotivated to continue working on it. There are other videos that really want to make that I am 1) More experienced in and 2) am putting a lot of research/experimentation into making. That's why this (the Sherm Skip tutorial) will probably be the only and last Minimum Captures tutorial video on this channel. Another major reason for that decision is that there are some other good tutorials made by wonderful individuals out there, so if you are interesting in learning the Minimum Captures speedrun, I really recommend checking out these:
