Choir Practice: KV 427 -8 “Jesu Christe – Cum Sancto Spiritu” from Mozart’s “Great Mass in C minor” (Große Messe in c-Moll), KV 427 (K. 417a). The Jesu Christe opens slowly and powerfully with full chorus. The Cum Sancto Spiritu is sung in fugue style, beginning with the male voices. The fugue returns multiple times in various keys, until finally the chorus unites at the end to sing “A-men”.
