Some people wonder if you can dig out gaps from *under* the fence too, rather than cutting gaps. Yes this is possible, in fact two of my gaps go under the fence.
A couple of things to think about is that the slope needs to be gradual each side, that it doesn’t attract a trough of water on wet days and get waterlogged.
Under fences is a less permanent idea and especially if you move house, could easily be filled in.
Nonetheless, I put the camera on this third gap in my fence that I only made a couple of years ago. I wasn’t sure if it was used or not, so I’m glad with the results on one random night only.
All the food in three feed stations (4 bowls) was also eaten last night/early today with just the crumb pieces remaining. They must have noticed the drop in temperatures…
