The TRS Purim Players Present:
The Purim Shpiel's an Opera
Thursday, February 25 at 7:30 PM, at
www.templerodefshalom.org/live
Faced with the many challenges of the past year, what can the TRS Players do for this year’s Purim Shpiel? Why, wear a mask, of course!
Join us – at least online – on February 25 for “The Purim Shpiel’s an Opera” – a virtual shpiel parodying songs from several Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals – including the longest running show with a masked title character!
Will Vashti stop the King from spreading the pandemic plaguing Shushan? Will Mordechai stop two unemployed Broadway producers from using stage-fighting choreography to overthrow the new King? Will the King find love even if it has to wear a mask? Will Esther use Zoom to save Mordechai and all of Shushan’s Jews? And will there be a parody of the Brady Bunch Theme? Join us virtually on February 25 to see how Shushan survives its own version of 2020 – as the TRS Players debut their first made-for-streaming performance ever!
Presented by the Music and Performing Arts Committee of Temple Rodef Shalom
And include, join us first at 7 pm for a live megillah reading on Zoom.
